About Super Awesome Minecraft Minecraft Server
This is a private server for players over the age of 30.
The name "Super Awesome Minecraft" is entirely hyperbole. Have a sense of humor.
Hard mode, Vanilla, survival server, running Paper, connected to a Discord server. By Vanilla, I mean Vanilla. The only plugins are Dynmap, Betterbeds, and Discord. There is no TP, no Warp, no economy, no Shop... it's Vanilla.
There is no grief protection, we're on the honor system. Griefing is absolutely not allowed. Repeated, intentional griefing will get you banned.
The Rules:
At all times, observe Wheaton's Law, above all else.
If you accidentally grief, do your best to fix it, and let the owner know. Drop a sign, send a message, whatever.
Fill in creeper holes near peoples' bases.
When you cut down a tree, make sure you take all the wood, so the leaves go away. Floating tree tops are annoying.
Feel free to raid structures like temples, mansions and pyramids, but leave them intact and looking nice when you're done. If you want the blocks for building materials, we can designate specific structures for this.

Map marker theme is as follows:
Bodies of water are named after actors. Blue flag Icon.
Towns are named after movies and TV shows. Default Icon.
Tagged villagers are named after characters from whatever movie or show the town is named after. Wikipedia is your friend.
Continents are named after directors. No directors that are also actors. Again, Wikipedia is your friend. Default Icon.
Generated structures can be some variation of the name of whoever discovered them, or something else that is unique. Use an icon that makes sense.
Land formations, such as mountains, cave entrances, ravines, etc are named after bands, singers and musicians. Green flag icon.
Player homes should have the player's name in it. Example: "DeadTOm's swamp home". House Icon.
Player-dug canals, connecting two bodies of water, can be named after the closest named structure, village, or whatever. "Canal of Gone in 60 seconds", or "John Denver Caverns Canal" are perfectly acceptable. Blue flag icon.
Other stuff:
The end resets once a month. So whatever you build there will disappear.
The server backs up every 12 hours.
Backups are restored only in the event of world corruption
Dying and losing all of your stuff is part of the game, and will not be grounds for restoring a backup.
